Timo Gerach is a German football referee born in Landau, Germany on 30 November 1986. He made his Bundesliga debut on 25 January 2023. Gerach is one of the newer Bundesliga referees and is based in Landau-Queichheim. He is part of the current Bundesliga officiating pool and is regularly relevant for pre-match analysis, appointment previews and VAR-focused discussion.
In the 2025/26 Bundesliga season, Gerach has officiated 7 league matches, averaging 22.00 fouls, 0.71 penalties, 4.43 yellow cards and 0.29 red cards per game. Those numbers point to a assertive and quick to punish major incidents profile, with a noticeable tendency to award penalties. For The VAR Verdict, that statistical snapshot helps readers understand the disciplinary threshold and general tone he has shown this season.
