Vasilios Fotias is a Greek football referee born on 10 April 1989. His precise birthplace is not reliably confirmed in the official material reviewed, although he is closely associated with Pella and appears under the Pella refereeing association in Greek Football Federation appointments.
Fotias progressed through the Greek refereeing system before making his top-flight debut in the Greek Super League in October 2018. His domestic role developed steadily, with appointments in both the Super League and Greek Cup, while his international career advanced after he joined the FIFA list in 2021.
The Vasilios Fotias referee profile has become increasingly international in recent seasons. UEFA has appointed him across its club and national-team competitions, including the UEFA Conference League, Europa League, Nations League and Champions League qualifying rounds. He has also handled senior international fixtures in European qualifying competition, including Azerbaijan against Ukraine during qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
